I was on the prowl for cute cupcakes with a "photo theme" for a photographer friend's birthday and I pitched the idea to Karolyn of Cupcake Bliss. These edible delights are what she came up with.

Husband and wife Pastor Funmi and Pastor Nosa are the warm, hospitable, and utterly engaging pastors of Eagle Believers Chapel. The church will be celebrating it's 10th anniversary in September and I was honored to capture some images of the couple and their church to be used in the upcoming celebration.

Eagle Believers Chapel is quite a lovely venue. Custom built from the ground up, the church building is in mint condition.
I took a quick tour of the facility and snapped some photos along the way.
Now, the pastors didn't ask me to plug their church, but I confess that I was really impressed with the venue and think it would make a great location for a wedding ceremony or event, especially if you have a larger guest list. Together the ground floor and balcony level of the sanctuary seat 500!
The reception hall is massive! It seats about 600 people and you can see it provides a wonderful blank canvas to decorate and fill any way you wish. There is also a kitchen to accommodate outside catering.
I won't spill the beans on the rental rates that were mentioned; however I will say that is an unbelievably amazing deal!

From the moment I met Akin and Abi, it was clear to me that they are very much in love. I could see it in the tender way Akin played with Abi's hands, the shy smiles she gave him, and the attentive way she listened to him speak. I think it was within those first five minutes that I started dreaming of how incredible their engagement session would be. Even a blind man could see that Abi and Akin have some serious style. Beyonce + Jay Z & Will + Jada need to watch out. There's a new couple in town!

Their fresh, clean, urban style screamed glamour and city lights to me, so I was ridiculously excited when they were excited to do a dusk/night shoot with the Dallas skyline. Have I mentioned the word excited yet enough for you to see how excited I am? :)
One of my favorite moments during their session was when we arrived at our second location and Abi had changed into a new outfit. Akin stood there staring at her, holding her hands, speechless by her beauty. Yes Abi, you snagged a good one!
