Rebranding + 5 Year Anniversary Party Revisited

Almost exactly one year ago today, I was surrounded by friends and family celebrating the launch of my new brand and my 5th year in business.  It’s a day I will always remember.  I’m working towards new milestones this year, so the celebration is much quieter, but I’m still grateful to do a job I love, with people I care about cheering me along.

From the very beginning, my good friend Rebekah has been by my side to encourage & challenge me on this journey.  The night of the party was no different.  I wanted to hide in the back room and desperately pray that people would actually show up, and she pulled me out in front of the camera.  I'm so glad she did.  Thank you Rebekah for photographing the party and especially for my mini portrait session.  You better believe I have used these photos eeeeeeeeverywhere!

It’s kind of weird to edit photos of yourself….but for the record can I please get some credit for not liquefying and not removing the circles under my eyes.  Thank you very much ;)

Ashley Bristo did a fabulous job turning my inspiration photo into this stylish do.

Can we all acknowledge how make-up artists are miracle workers?  Thank you Lindsey for A) showing, that yes I actually do have eyebrows, and B) giving me a new lip color to fall in love with.

Thank you Heidi of Sugar Bee Sweets for hosting the party at your shop.  It was the perfect location!

When I first imagined the thought of a launch party, I had no idea, such a wonderful team of friends and vendors would come on board.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to the following amazing girl boss sponsors:

Art by Ellie || Website, Branding, Graphic Design

Ebony Peoples Events and Design || Coordination

Kate Foley Designs || Floral

Sugar Bee Sweets || Venue, Sweets

I'm rather fond of Izzes, a sparkling juice beverage, so of course I had to incorporate some into the party menu.

It was wonderful to see so many supportive faces!

I'm always grateful to the fam for coming out and supporting.  And yes, I hope I look as good as my mom when I'm her age. :)

I'll close with this fun final photo of my siblings and I. It's such an accurate reflection of who we are: my bro looking innocent while cracking a joke, me trying to follow the directions, and my sister always camera ready.
