I first met James and Kaisey at a work event of my brother's. I was his date for the night, and the four of us enjoyed pleasant conversation. Little did I know, I would later get to photograph their wedding! James and Kaisey have such fun personalities, and their wedding day reflected them perfectly. The ceremony and reception were held at the Palace Arts Center in historic downtown Grapevine, Texas.

Oh hey there Kaisey! You are working that winged black eyeliner and gorgeous red hair. And the purple roses in the bouquet by City Florist, are the perfect touch.

James has the driest sense of humor, and he kept me laughing! What's not a laughing matter though, is that suit. Purple and black looks very nice on you James!

The purple uplighting in the ceremony area was a lovely accent for the intimate ceremony.

I'm a huge fan of night shots, and the Palace at night created a beautiful backdrop.

Pieces of the game Jenga served as the sign in book for guests. This is so fitting, since James and Kaisey's love story started with game nights!

Ok, I'll admit I totally geeked out on this. During cocktail hour and part of the reception, the couple had Artist Amy Gorman on hand to draw caricatures of the guests. I've always been a little fascinated with caricatures, so it was fun to see her in action.

Gabe of Go DJ Go was the chief engineer of fun as he led the couple in the newlywed game. And here's a funny side note, Gabe and I went to college together! It was a pleasant surprise to see him again.

Kaisey's brother wins the sibling of the year award. Not only did he officiate the ceremony, but he also sang a beautiful rendition of "I Wanna Grow Old With You" while playing the guitar.
