I love surprises. I mean looooove surprises. So photographing Carter’s surprise 50th birthday party at American Airlines Center was a treat. Friends and family gathered in a private suite to await the guest of honor’s arrival. Finally he came around the corner and the expression on his face said it all, the surprise was a success! Cheers to his wife Pam for all her careful planning!
Purple is one of my favorite colors, so of course I was a huge fan of these invitations.
Guests received purple and gray customized playing cards as party favors.
Pam even coordinated with Carter’s mom who flew in to surprise her son at the party!
The Dallas Mavericks may have been playing on the court, but the real MVP of the day was in this private suite.
Connie and Steve are a wonderful couple I met earlier this year, when they hired me to photograph Connie’s graduation party. I love seeing familiar families; feels like family :)
